We revived the Vindyš's factory
A few years ago, the overgrown area of the halls was almost on the verge of collapse, but at the beginning of the 20th century this was not the case. At that time, there was a factory for gym equipment of all kinds. At the time of its greatest boom, it supplied its products not only to Czech sokols, but also exported to Europe and even to the United States.
We decided to breathe new life into Vindyš's factory.
The old factory became a sanctuary to cycling.

How a brownfield was turned into a sports centre
Adam Gebrian consciously chose to promote architecture, theoretical and critical work instead of designing his own buildings. In 2015, he was even awarded "Architect of the Year". In the programme Surprising Buildings, he presents significant buildings of Czech-Slovak modern architecture. We are happy that we have also been in his spotlight. President Petr Pavel visited the Vindyš's factory
On 20th of May 2024, Petr Pavel, the President of the Czech Republic, honoured us with his visit. He spent a whole morning in our shop, during which we had the opportunity to exchange a few words with the President.
On this occasion, he very willingly signed his illustration by Tomski&Polanski, which will be a reminder of this important event in the history of the company.
The President's visit was accompanied by a major business event, reVision of the Czech Republic 2024, which he launched.

Community, events and SBCRides
"Happiness is only real when it is shared."
We host community events for the whole family (workshops, talks, kids day, Burning of the witches, etc.) where our grounds come even more alive and you can feel the incredible energy of the Vindyš'a Factory. In addition, we also hold organized rides around Radotín. That's why we created the #SBCRide events, where you can meet like-minded cyclists and enjoy a pleasant moment in the saddle.
We also have one of the biggest STRAVA clubs in the Czech Republic, where we regularly post photos from our rides and you can also find other upcoming SBCRides here.
Our campus collects prizes
The newly reconstructed Vindyš factory area is also collecting nominations and awards. In the field of design and architecture, it was a finalist for the Czech Architecture Award in 2020. The interior of the restaurant won the prestigious international Grand Prix BIG SEE Awards 2021.
In 2022, we managed to win the VISA CZECH TOP SHOP competition. The whole competition is analogous to Michelin stars awarded to restaurants. It is not possible to enter the competition. Every month, the competition judges incognito visit and evaluate the stores that are nominated by industry experts. From each month's 12 winners, the final jury will determine the final ranking of the year's best stores and the overall winner. And in 2022, that was us!
