Product description
The Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid is a comfortable and lightweight headlamp for everyone. The Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra comes with a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1.25 Ah (4.75 Wh) and a hybrid case.
All Trail Runner Free headlamps have a power cable integrated into the headband. Silva calls it Free Technology – comfortable use of the headlamp without distracting cables or tangled wires. No hassle – just free energy.
The hybrid battery case can hold either a rechargeable Silva hybrid battery or 3 AAA batteries (not included). This means that you can use AAA batteries as a backup if you run out of power. The case has surfaces for comfortable grip and includes an integrated red rear safety light – for better visibility.
Silva Intelligent Light technology. This means that you get dual light beam technology in your headlamp with a light setting. The unique combination of long-reach spotlight and close flood light results in less head movement, better control, better balance, less fatigue and higher speed.
Despite focusing on technological breakthroughs, we have not forgotten the importance of weight optimisation. Each part of the headlamp has been compressed and the entire unit weighs only 60 grams (excluding batteries). The headlamp is perfectly balanced, with smooth adjustment and a flat, soft textile extension cord that doesn't tangle. The headband is soft, yet firm enough, with silicone on the inside to stay in place. The battery can be carried comfortably on the headband or kept warm in your pocket to save its life, using the included extension cord.
