Warm and versatile
ORTOVOX PIZ VIAL JACKET W is a thermal jacket, suitable mainly for skitouring. With SWISSWOOL® wool insulation, an ergonomic fit, and practical pockets, it's a great companion for any ski tour. You can use the jacket as an outer layer and don't have to worry about wet snow or drizzle. It also replaces softshell because it doesn't blow. You can also use it as a warmer under a hardshell, it 's even lighter than a fleece hoodie.
Pertex® Quantum Diamond Fuse
The Pertex® Quantum with Diamond Fuse technology material is woven from yarn made of diamond-shaped fibres. This allows the individual yarn fibres to be packed even more densely, creating a material that is extremely durable, stable and at the same time very light, breathable and windproof. Thanks to the ripstop weave, it is resistant to abrasion and tearing even though it is soft and supple to the touch. It is very light and comfortable to wear.
SWISSWOOL® - the story of Swiss sheep breeding restored
Natural resources are often better materials than any synthetics. The coat of Swiss sheep is an example of this. It is not as soft as merino, but ORTOVOX decided to use its potential for insulating layers and its idea has significantly helped sheep farming and local farmers.
SWISSWOOL® is a comfortable insulation made from strips of Swiss wool. These are placed in the individual panels of the jacket, so they stay in place and do not shift. This wool insulation is ideal for active movement, as the wool absorbs up to 35% of the moisture in its core, so you feel dry even during high physical activity. In addition, when compared to synthetic insulation material, it degrades only negligibly and retains its properties for many years.
- Odor neutralization.
- Antibacterial function.
- Large thermoregulatory range.
- Moisture absorption.
- Easy maintenance.
