Product description
Elegance and craftsmanship: the N° 09 pocket knife is unique and shows the meticulous work carried out in the carpentry workshop.
It has a 9cm stainless steel blade and a handle made of three French woods in contrasting colors: maple, heat-treated ash and black walnut. The knife also has a safety ring that secures the blade in the open and closed positions.
This knife evokes mountain peaks and wave crests. It comes in a stylish box and is also a great gift idea.
Blade
The blade offers high resistance to wear, allowing it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramic before needing to be re-sharpened. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring any special maintenance under normal conditions of use, unlike carbon steel. However, prolonged contact with aggressive environments (acid, salt water, detergents, etc.) can push it to its limits.
Handle
The handle of the N° 09 knife is made from a blend of three French woods: maple, heat-treated ash and black walnut with a high-gloss finish.
Safety ring
The Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is designed for all folding knives from model No. 06. The Virobloc is made of stainless steel and has two parts, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to securing the blade in the open position (safety during use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety during transport).
Technical specifications:
- martensitic stainless steel
- safety ring
- hardness 55-57 HRC
- handle length: 11.82 cm
- blade length: 9 cm
